Starring Tim Hartman and the “Carnival of Souls” in This award winning musical starred Tim Hartman, one of Pittsburgh’s favorite actors. The “Greatest Story Ever Retold” is based on the book The Cotton Patch Version of Matthew and John by Clarence Jordan in which the Gospel is presented in a setting of rural Georgia with country music songs, the final and perhaps best work of Harry Chapin. When British theologian C.S. Lewis (author of The Chronicles of Narnia) met Joy Gresham, an outspoken American poet, he never anticipated how their lives would become entwined. But Shadowlands shows how their love, and the risk of its loss, transformed all of this great man’s relationships, even with God.
